Pediatric Occupational Therapist — Build Your Career Without Burning Out
Northern Virginia | Full-Time or Part-Time

At Premier Pediatric Therapy Source (PPTS), we believe being a great pediatric therapist shouldn't mean choosing between doing meaningful work and having a life outside of work.

We're looking for a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our growing multidisciplinary team. With strong community demand and a substantial OT waitlist, you'll have the opportunity to build a rewarding caseload while working in a clinic designed to support your clinical growth, creativity, and well-being.

Why OTs Love Working at PPTS:
Sustainable Caseloads:
  • 28–32 clients per week for full-time OTs.
  • We believe a manageable caseload allows you to provide better care and enjoy your work. Your schedule also includes protected documentation and planning time — so you're not staying late or taking notes home after work.
Large Pediatric Therapy Gyms:
  • Have the space to be creative.
  • Our large treating gyms gives you room to move, play, incorporate sensory and motor activities, and create engaging treatment experiences for your clients.
You Treat. We Handle the Scheduling:
  • Your job is to provide great therapy — not chase families about appointments.
  • Our front office team handles scheduling, family communication, authorizations, and other administrative logistics so you can focus on your patients.
Clinical Autonomy:
  • We trust our therapists.
  • You have the freedom to use your clinical judgment, design creative treatment sessions, and tailor your approach to each child's interests, strengths, and goals.
Build Something Bigger:
  • Have an idea for a new group, specialty program, or community initiative?
  • Build it.
  • PPTS gives therapists opportunities to create and lead programs based on their clinical interests and the needs of the children and families we serve.
Grow Your Career:
  • Your career doesn't have to stop at your caseload.
  • We are developing a structured internal leadership pathway for clinicians who want to grow into mentorship, program development, team leadership, and other leadership opportunities within the practice.

About the Position:
As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate and treat children ages birth through 18 with a variety of developmental, sensory, motor, feeding, self-care, and functional needs.

You will:
  • Perform OT evaluations and assessments.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals.
  • Provide evidence-based, child-centered interventions.
  • Create engaging and individualized treatment sessions.
  • Educate and coach parents and caregivers.
  • Complete documentation within protected administrative time.
  • Collaborate with OTs, SLPs, PTs, families, physicians, educators, and community providers.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and care coordination.
  • Contribute to program development and other clinic initiatives.

Schedule & Caseload:
  • Full-time and part-time opportunities.
  • Clinic-based pediatric outpatient setting.
  • Children ages birth through 18.
  • Full-time caseload averages 28–32 clients per week.
  • One-hour appointment blocks with 53-minute treatment sessions.
  • Protected documentation and planning time.
  • Front desk support for scheduling and family communication.
  • Administrative support for authorizations and billing.

What We're Looking For:
  • Current Virginia OT license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Passion for pediatric therapy and family-centered care.
  • Creative, collaborative, and growth-minded approach.
  • Pediatric experience preferred, but not required.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation.
  • Annual increase eligibility.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Paid time off.
  • Paid holidays.
  • CEU reimbursement.
  • 401(k).
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Structured mentorship and onboarding.

Why PPTS?
There are plenty of pediatric OT jobs out there.

We're building something different.

A place where you can have a sustainable caseload, protected time to do your paperwork, the autonomy to practice your way, the space to be creative, and the opportunity to build the next chapter of your career.
If that sounds like the kind of practice you've been looking for, we'd love to meet you.
